Rough Order of Magnitude (±25%). It is a planning number; a real bid requires a site survey, rigging plan, and carrier quotes.
Why is insurance a line item?
Cargo and riggers' liability insurance scales with equipment value; we surface it so high-value moves aren't under-budgeted.
What is not included?
Engineering, specialized permits beyond your input, and temporary foundations are excluded. Enter known permit costs directly.
How are crews counted?
Crane and millwright labor multiply hours by crew count; large machines need multiple simultaneous crews, which the model reflects.
Why a contingency?
Industrial moves hit unforeseen access, weather, and equipment issues; a 10–25% ROM contingency is standard practice.
